    2015 International Black Creek FunRun

Yesterday Sept-19 we had our yearly international funrun.
Held at Black Creek Park in Chili NY.
All in all it was a great day. Good food, the pond water was excellent (great visibility), and the attendees were tolerable.
Those Canadian guys can get a bit routy (Aye) LOL
More will be posted soon on the event. I am just barely able to type from all the fun.
So much fun can really zonk a old guy out. BD

I agree with Big Dave. We had a cool and mostly rain free day with lots of food, boats, and good friends. The rain didn't even slow us down as we just kept running the boats from under the tent to keep the radios dry.
D3 rented the pavilion again this year to provide shelter from the sun and rain.
Don May did his usual amazing job cooking the food and even frying chicken wings on the grill.
Bruce brought Brenda's amazing butter tarts (pies?) in super size this year, and Kevin brought Teresa's amazing normal size butter tarts. Both tarts were fan favorites as usual. Thanks to the ladies for baking these for us again!
This year Bob and Helen came from Ohio with some local treats and Bob's fleet. Erich came from West Virginia with his fleet to run with us as well.
Greg and Kevin provided recovery assistance when necessary so that everyone went home with the boats they came with. Not sure if either Greg or Kevin collected salvage fees or not. Most of the rescues were pretty easy, until we lost Bruce's Seaview under the waves near the far shore. Luckily it magically reappeared on the shore before major recovery efforts were launched.
Thanks to all who attended for making this event another success.

I forgot to mention Mrs Goodcookie's Chex mix. It is always a hit, thanks for making it again.

It ceryainly was a great time,Sorry that I had to bail a little early and couldn't help with the tear down and clean up. No salvage fees were collected as we were in "international" water . The wind (and Eric) did most of the rescues

We had a great time. Thanks for the invite.

We did have a little excitement when we went to dinner Saturday night. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings, across the street from our hotel. There were two Sheriff's cars outside the restaurant. When we entered, the two female Deputies were talking to four people at a table near the bar. We sat down at a different table near the bar, about 20 feet from the quartet being interviewed by the Deputies. While waiting for our dinner, one of the quartet, a guy named Kevin comes out of the men's room, and was met by a Deputy standing behind Helen. Helen only heard the handcuffs clicking shut, and was a little unnerved. I saw the other Deputy handcuff one of the three women at the table that was with Kevin. Apparently Kevin and his woman tried to use funny money to pay for dinner.

Yes, great time, good friends and good enough weather to run all day long (thanks to the pavilion, and pop-up to hide the radios under). Great food (big thanks Donnie for cooking) and great butter tarts, Chex mix, and all the extras people brought. It doesn't get any better.
