As part of the migration of the old forum contents to the new forum engine (vBulletin), we are now making use of something that vBulletin provides called "paid subscriptions." This is a built-in capability that completely automates what we think of as SubCommittee memberships.
As in the past, we are still running a membership 'year' to be 12 months, however we no longer need to force everyone into a calendar year based membership. What this means is that whenever you pay your dues (subscription) is when that 12 month clock starts.
Everyone who is a current paid member had a subscription set up as part of the migration. For most folks, we set the 'expiration' to be February 15, 2016. However for those who paid their dues after the 15th, your subscription/membership expiration was set to be one year after you actually paid.
