FOR SALE: Ready-To-Run 1/96 ThorDesign USS Permit-class
This is the boat that started it all – the one I built for the original kit assembly instructions: http://www.warfish.com/permit/kit_permit_intro.html. The boat was refurbished last summer including a new 3†custom WTC.
It is currently in the livery of USS Guardfish (SSN-612) circa 1972 in honor of her famous trail of an Echo II off Viet Nam. Paint and markings were redone last year as well along with slight weathering job around the waterline.
The boat is fully trimmed and comes complete with everything necessary to go on patrol including battery, all electronics, radio, even a battery charger. You supply the Propel and the running area.
This particular boat has always handled like a dream. It came in first place in the navigation event at the 2006 SubRegatta. A blast to run for newbie and expert skippers alike. The boat includes]
