A couple of weeks ago, SubCommittee members Scott Steckler, Diane Ventrello and I travelled to Charleston South Carolina. Diane had a veterinarians' conference to attend and Scott called and asked me if I would like to hook up with them down there to see the Hunley Lab, Ft. Sumter etc. It took me all of 3 seconds to say "YES!"
I gave Brian Hicks - the author of Raising the Hunley" a call and he agreed to meet us at the lab and give us a tour. He then took us out to Magnolia Cemetary where Horace Hunley is buried and George Dixon and his crew will be interred in mid-April of this year.
