Hi folks! Back from a somewhat lengthy hiatus. I noticed that both Kevin McLeod and Steve Neill have chosen to use a combination of plaster and burlap to fabricate their strong backs for their RTV hull moulds. I'm planning to use RTV tooling for my 1/36 SSN-605 Jack hull. Problem is, the hull is going to be on the order of 95" long and I figure that at this size, plaster simply won't do. I think that a suitable strong back might be made from GRP. Any comments or suggestions?
