ok I did some rather nasty things to my ballast tank and ordered a new one but thoughts just struck me I have had an epiphany or an apostrophe ha ha
I thoght of walling off the saddle tanks to use as ballast tanks so I have no obstuctions in my way to open the pressurehull I don't know if you are familiar with this kit it is a nice little uboat the ballast tank is set on top of the pressure hull lids and held down via the removable center hull section
no heres my real question if this works where would the best location befor the water inlet from the pump in the center of the saddle tanks or at the front I am thinking the center as this will fill the tank equally and not run all the way to the back then fill up leaving some uncharacteristic diving and surfacing problems like fill from front and the stern goes down first not good but fill from center and the boat goes down statically well this has got the be the longest winded post I have made in over a year
chuck
I await you expertease
