Hello to all captains and crew.
I just recieved this very large package via snail mail and man it took a month to get here from Austria but it arrived just fine!At only 25 bucks to ship since the Shop pays for the balance if over 250.00$ perchase. Not bad!
Well at my first glance at the kit its big! Well made CNC components and the diveplanes have the shafts preinstalled with double brass bearings.The planes are in German so be prepared for that one!But the pictures are very good and full of detail as the Germans are very therough.
The very large and well made pressure hull components are simple and easy to open and service,2 orings one large and one small for the singe large allen head screw at the bow when installed tightens and the seals the WTC.The kit also does not come with a prorp stuffingbox nor any drive components so iether make your own or order them,I will do a combination of the above and make it better.Water coolled bruchless motor and a compressor bassed ballast system,I am sure that I can produce a working sub well under the cost of the comercial ballast system and drive unit.
It must float at the proper hieth and dive at rest ,this cannot be said from the manufacturer so far.Also increase the running time,and have hydraulic scopes and retracting cleats,and 2 stern servos as well as the sail planes will be made to operate.
Overall a well made kit though a bit expensive and if you shop around a bit it will pay off.I ordered mine from Lindinger Modellblou in Austria at a great price of $ 586.00 shipping included.There are a bunch of extras that raise the cost cosiderably and thats why I am modifing mine in the above maner. A tough bit of engineering indeed!
And if any one wonders how I pay for my hobby,home improvement and Ebay! to Latin America .I dont get into spreading rumors especialy at meets where I pay for the food ectra only to be insulted ,not good I dont do it and its no ones buisness to beginwith,no matter from whom it comes from and I know who they are they should be re educated in proper mannors!I am frankly surprised to have heard that from a Military person as I am a Vetran.
