Guys, just wanted to let you know about a gem of a DVD that I just bought. It is called H.M.S. Slendid, and is a 4 part BBC documentary made on board the sub in 1997. it is amazingly in-depth,the photography is superb with excellent shots of the sub on the surface, underwater and in action ( launching cruise missiles...running a "perisher"sub-commanders course etc ) 114 minutes running time, and it really is fantastic. I have found much more in-depth than the documentaries I have seen on Discovery channel.
If you have an interest in the modern submarine force you should buy this video. I found it on Amazon.co.uk ( just put H.M.S. Splendid in the search box). It also reminded me how proud we Brits should be of our Royal Navy boys and girls and their professionalism RULE BRITANNIA !!!
