Just got an e-mail from Ray Mason.
The SubRegatta video for 2002/3
is ready. It includes footage of the
Providence, RI. Russian sub. Other details down
below.
And..... It includes scenes of midget subs
and manned torpedoes from the OSS film
"Sneak Craft." This is live, real moving images of
these boats.
Of interest, his source imagery
came from a high resolution digital of the 35 mm
master copy at the US Archives. Some of the stuff
I see on TV from this film came from the 16mm,
not-so-nice copy. This one is as crisp and as clear
as you can get.
They are $20 + $4 prority, or $2 media mail.
Foreign-these are region 1, no idea if they work in another region.
