Twenty years in the Air Force doing Public Affairs seeking good PR for the service but this weekend I was exposed to one publicity shot I hadn't seen before. Cactus Navyman and Diesel Boater Mike Keating managed to get himself and our hobby featured in a special section of the East Valley Tribune's "At Home" feature titled "... to the mancave!" The feature is a centerfold layout about Mike and another Valley man and how they have dedicated parts of their homes to their personal desires. A subhed reads "East Valley guys mark their territory in masculine sanctuaries." Three photos show Mike and his shipate Suzie (dog) his workroom and a wall of sub crew pics and his beautiful USS Amberjack cutaway model he showed off at the IPMS Nationals here in Phoenix a few years back. Keep alert guys ... let's get model submarines in those magazines ... now if I can get one in Playboy!
