Just as an addendum to my other post about the June SCR. In the otherwise fine article about the Blueback, Peter Egypt again recounts the Rickover quote: "Fish don't vote!" We've all seen this attributed to Rickover before. It had to do with the change in naming going from the Sturgeon class to the Los Angeles class, and the political battle over the LA class vs the Conform design. However, it is not Rickover's quote. The quote, "Fish don't vote" was uttered by David T. Leighton. Leighton was a Rickover aide, who was nuclear trained and one of Rickover's inner circle. Just to set the record straight.
