I need some assistance on VIIC/41 U-boats.
1. Did any VIIC/41 boats have a slotted deck and no snorkel? If yes, which boat(s)?
2. Did any VIIC/41 boats have a slotted deck and a fixed snorkel? If yes, which boat(s)?
3. Or did all VIIC/41 boats have a straight planked deck and a snorkel?
The reason I ask is that I want to build a VIIC/41 U-boat (1:72), but use a slotted wooden deck from Nautilus instead of the straight planked deck. I like the detail on the slotted deck much better than the straight planked deck.
However, the slotted decks do not have the cutout for the snorkel bay.
Any help is appreciated.
