Greetings from Jacksonville, FL.
Just a note to let any sub-drivers located in the South East know that the ORCAS model boat club will be hosting their annual Fun Float again this year. Subs are welcome and I hope to have the Robbe U-47 in the water this time, not on the deck for show only.
The location is Kathern Abby Hanna Park in Jacksonville, FL (actually Atlantic Beach) and the date is Oct 9th from 9am to about 4pm depending on weather and/or your batteries. If your interested in addtional information contact Charlie Johnson at g2tiger@comcast.net
The event is free to anyone with a model, food provided (donations accepted) and the park charges a $1.00 fee for each person wishing to enter. We will be located at the east side of the lake and have two shelters reserved. There is a water playground for chirdren, beach, camping ground and hiking and bike trails within walking distance. Please RSVP if possible.
